Ad Copy

Attribution Model
A rule or set of rules that determines how credit for sales is assigned.
B2B (Business to Business)
Companies selling products/services to other businesses.
B2C (Business to Consumer)
Companies selling directly to consumers.
Backlink
An incoming hyperlink from one web page to another website.
Banner Ad
Image-based advertising placed on websites.
BOFU (Bottom of Funnel)
The decision stage where leads are close to converting.
Brand Awareness
How familiar people are with your brand.
Bounce Rate
Percentage of visitors who leave a site after viewing only one page.
CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)
The cost of acquiring a new customer.
Call to Action (CTA)
A prompt encouraging users to take a specific action.
Churn Rate
The rate at which customers stop doing business with you.
CLV (Customer Lifetime Value)
Prediction of net profit from the entire relationship with a customer.
CMS (Content Management System)
Software used to manage and host digital content, like a website's media gallery.
Content Marketing
Creating and sharing valuable content to attract customers.
Conversion Rate
The percentage of visitors who take a desired action.
CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)
The cost to acquire one paying customer.
CPC (Cost Per Click)
Amount paid per ad click.
CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions)
Cost per 1,000 impressions of an ad.
CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
A system for managing interactions with customers.
Cross-Selling
Selling related products to an existing customer.
CTR (Click-Through Rate)
Percentage of users who clicked a link vs. those who viewed it.
CVR (Conversion Rate)
Percentage of users who converted from a campaign or landing page. Conversions can happen when someone lands on your website from a campaign, or submit a form, call or message.
Direct Traffic
Visitors who come to your site by typing the URL directly.
Drip Campaign
A set of marketing emails sent automatically on a schedule.
Email Marketing
Using email to promote products or services.
Engagement Rate
A metric measuring user interaction with content.
Evergreen Content
Content that remains relevant over time.
Exit Rate
Percentage of visitors who leave from a particular page.

Delivering content or ads based on a user’s location.
